Back at Havering Folk Club after a break in Spain for the holidays I played two of my own songs:The Dream is Over and Back In The Field

That was a whole week ago, so I'm getting behind with blogging the weekly songs which makes it more difficult to remember.So the date was Wednesday 10th March at Havering Folk Club and the songs I played last week were Back in The Field and Norwegian Wood.If I remember correctly there was also time for one last song at the end of the evening and I played The Wreckers Prayer.Not to self: Must be more prompt when writing up these music blogs. According to youtube I seem to have played The Rowan Tree recently as well and that may well be a missing week.

Was last Wednesday the 17th? I think it was, anyway we went along to Havering Folk Club as usual and I took along my 12 string guitar that I've been playing quite a bit recently. It was an ordinary singers night so I played two songs in the first half - Puddles and Back in The Field. Then in the second half there was time for one more so I fulfilled a lifetime ambition by playing a Captain Beefheart song in a folk club - Grow Fins.

Good to be back at Havering Folk Club in the Golden Lion, Romford again so I played Back in the Field which was a repeat since I'd played it before back in August ( two-more-andy-roberts-songs ) and then for the first time, just for fun, The Truro Agricultural ShowIt was interesting that Gary had already heard that one by somebody who is playing the other Romford Folk club in November later this year. Never say "This is song none of you will have heard before" was his advice!In the second half I had a chance to play something else and did a short medlay of two beatles song snippets I feel Fine and Every little thing
